Yep. I been playin' some SKYWARD SWORD.
I'll admit, the franchise is showin' those "gray hairs" in some respects. The first half hour or so had me constantly muttering "Yeah I get it" at the screen, since I had to, again, learn how to throw cats and move crates. But, of course, this is Zelda and we gotta' make concessions for the kiddies. Still, the brain-draining slog of the opening act was made up for by near-perfect emotional resonance between Link (see: the player) and Zelda herself, who, believe it or not, is RELEVANT TO THE GAME. WHAT A CONCEPT.
What I like, perhaps most, is that Link isn't the center of everything. It's all about Zelda. She's on her own journey, and Link is scrambling to catch up with her. Nice way to mix things up! The motion controls are pretty intriguing too - one definitely gets the full experience when standing and swinging the Wiimote, and when you defeat a boss, you feel, wait for it...LIKE A BAWS
Anywho, I'm pretty well along at my...4th dungeon? Hm. Anyway, still juggling this, ARKHAM CITY and PSYCHONAUTS.
ARKHAM CITY is a pretty interesting experience. I never played through ARKHAM ASYLUM, but I've seen most of it, and AC seems to take for granted that you've played the previous game, because this user interface takes some SERIOUS getting used to. The layout of the levels are also confusing as hell, it becomes a chore to actually be able to tell when you're supposed to go, thanks to all that dark-black-gray-black-EVERYTHING. Combat's a might repetitive, but I definitely find myself saying "I'M BATMAN" every time I do something cool. Because it's Batman. Good voice acting and overall presentation, though the writing's a little sloppy. Bruce sure does like saying "You won't get away with this" and "what do you want?"
Perhaps the game's biggest letdown, aside from the terrible marketing and WB actively punishing their customers for not buying "new," is that side missions will become permanently impossible to complete after certain story events, thus rendering them moot and an exercise in frustration.
Backing up a bit, I want PSYCHONAUTS' babies. A cult classic that I never got around to playing until just now. Really fun and unique and original. Could have used some fine-tuning for the controls, but overall a grand ol' time!

I see no gray hairs. Link seems to be in his prime if you ask me.
