Believe it or not, we're closing in on the 100th issue of G-Fan Magazine, the long-running and fondly loved quarterly publication by Canadian Godzilla junkie, J.D. Lees.
I felt it prudent that, given we're only a month or two out from the issue's release, I'd work up a little hype. Given that it's the 100th issue, I've thrown my weight behind it to celebrate the magazine that's given me so much joy, especially in my childhood. As such, I'll be not only contributing the cover, but also finally completing the long-awaited last leg of the GFANTIS: HEART OF THE BEAST story arc.

Not only all that, but I've been busy wrangling some of the top talent in kaiju artistry for a heckuva gallery for this new issue! Talent such as :iconsilver-ray:, :iconkaijuverse:, :icondaikamonohashi:, :iconenshohma:, :iconzornow:, :iconpaulhanley:, and hopefully many more!

So head over to www.g-fan.com or to your local comic shop and preorder it now! Issues will go fast, what with all the sexy and exciting people pre-ordering the thing ;)

KAIJU FOREVER.

Wait I just realized. You said issue 100 was only a month or two away. What about issue 99? Not that I'd complain about getting an early G-Fan...

I started subscribing to G-Fan around sixth grade with issue 55. I remember cracking that baby open and right there was a full report on GMK, a retrospective on "The Last Dinosaur," and an awesome create-a-kaiju contest. My first G-Fan was, how do I put this? Transcendant, almost. Like I had finally found home or something. In a way I had, as I went to G-Fest later that year (2002) and every year since except for 2009. Like MegaZeo said, it's probably helped my love for Godzilla last even longer since I found people that share it. So happy 100th issue G-Fan, let's make this thing rival issue #60 in terms of size and content. Any of you remember issue 60? That issue was mammoth! And every article was a gem. But yeah, go G-Fan!

Lol, its like you were Nick Fury and you assembled The Avengers (Its even more funny since you assembled exactly six artists which were the amount of heros in the movie lol). It sounds like you got some Godzilla sized plans brewing. I wish you all luck :)

Thanks!! I'm really surprised this comment is getting a lot of praise. That movie was AWESOME and reading this journal really made me feel like he was assembling his own kaiju artist version of the Avengers. I'm glad its full of win lol. I haven't heard from you in a LONG time. Wheres your awesome art lol? :)
